The Cappadocia Ultra-Trail is an internationally recognized trail running event held every October in the
Cappadocia region of central Turkey. It’s part of the UTMB® World Series, which means it’s a qualifier
for the iconic Mont Blanc races and attracts a global mix of elite athletes, passionate trail runners, and
adventure seekers.

17th Oct: On this day, start your day early with a pickup to the most spectacular sunrise viewpoint in Cappadocia. Today you spend the day picking your race kit and resting or discovering rose-tinted valleys, towering ‘fairy chimneys’ and underground cities on a visit to this spectacular area of central Turkey. Overnight @ Cappadocia
18th Oct: Race Day/Explore Cappadocia, Turkey. If part of the running team, head off to your race start. Otherwise, if not running, choose between red and green tours, which are very popular with visitors to this area. Overnight @ Cappadocia
19th Oct: Free day. Overnight @ Cappadocia
20th Oct: Free time until transfer to ASR/NAV airport to catch suitable domestic flight to Antalya. Arrival & transfer to hotel. Overnight @ Antalya
21st Oct: Full Day Antalya City & Waterfall Tour with Lunch (1000hrs to 1800hrs) Inclusions: Karpuzkaldiran – Duden Waterfalls, Lunch @ Waterfalls, Old City Kaleici, Old Clock Tower, Hadrian’s Gate, Marina, Shopping Locations, City-Center Hotels.

No. There are three race options (38km, 63km, and 119km) suitable for a range of experience
levels. You should have some trail running experience, especially for the 63km and 119km
distances.
Expect a mix of dirt trails, rocky paths, narrow valleys, and ancient village roads. The scenery is
spectacular, but the terrain is technical in places—trail shoes are essential.
Yes. A mandatory gear list will be provided (headlamp, hydration vest, thermal blanket,
whistle, etc.), especially for longer distances.
Mild and pleasant—expect cool mornings and evenings (8–12°C) and warm afternoons (18–
22°C), especially in Cappadocia and along the coast. Istanbul may be slightly cooler.
Pack layers, activewear, running gear, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket, sunglasses,
swimwear (for Antalya and Pamukkale), and modest clothing for mosque visits in Istanbul.
Yes, you need to apply for an e-Visa online.

- Health & Fitness Participants engaging in the Cappadocia Ultra-Trail events must ensure they are in good physical condition and properly trained for their selected distance. Bucketlist Trips will not be held liable for injuries, health complications, or medical emergencies arising from insufficient preparation or pre-existing conditions not disclosed before travel.
- Travel Documents It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure they possess a valid passport (with at least 6 months’ validity) and the appropriate visa for entry into Turkey. While we offer guidance, Bucketlist Trips is not liable for denied entry, missed flights, or other issues related to visa and passport documentation.
- Weather & Force Majeure All outdoor activities—including hot air ballooning, boat tours, and paragliding—are subject to weather conditions and local authority regulations. Bucketlist Trips will not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or alterations caused by weather, natural events, strikes, or other force majeure circumstances beyond our control.
- Activity Participation Participation in adventure or high-risk activities (e.g., paragliding, trail running, hiking, hot air ballooning) is entirely voluntary and undertaken at the participant’s own risk. Third-party operators are fully responsible for delivering these services and maintaining safety standards. Travelers are encouraged to review operator policies independently.
- Itinerary Changes While every effort will be made to adhere to the published itinerary, unforeseen events such as flight rescheduling, local holidays, or logistical issues may require modifications. Bucketlist Trips reserves the right to make such changes, and suitable alternatives will be provided when necessary.
- Travel Insurance Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. The policy must include cover for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and sports-related injuries. Proof of valid insurance may be requested before departure.
- Covid-19 & Public Health Participants must comply with all public health regulations set by the Turkish government or international travel authorities, including testing, vaccination, or quarantine requirements. Any additional costs incurred due to such measures are the responsibility of the traveler.
