Mudathon 2025

The Mudathon & Trail Run is an adventure-based sporting event that forms the fifth edition of the Mudathon Series.
The event is aimed to give all Fun Outdoor Lovers and adrenaline-filled runners a challenge out of their comfort zones. The event will feature a Mudrun course, Trail run, Wife Carrying Championship and a bonfire party to crown the day.
The event will be happening at KESAL, Nanyuki on 1st June, 2025.

What to carry

  1. Running Clothes and shoes. Please bring those that you are willing to let go of.
  2. Gym gloves for the wooden obstacles.
  3. Change of clothes for after the run.
  4. Toiletries and towels for freshening up after.
  5. Warm Hoodie or jacket for after the run.
  6. Sleeping bag or extra shawl if camping.
  7. Evening Party wear
  8. Waterproof GPS Sports Watch
  9. Spirit of Adventure
  10. Any Personal Medication

Directions

From Nanyuki, drive towards Isiolo, passing through Timau town. Look out for Kisima, a stop near the large-scale farms with a convenience store and petrol station. Shortly after Kisima, take a right turn onto the next tarmac road and proceed towards Marania Town. Once you reach Marania, turn right onto the forest road using the following Google Maps point (input this from Nanyuki for accuracy).

From here, drive 9 km along the dirt road to KESAL. Note: About 1km before KESAL, you’ll encounter a fork in the road. Keep right and avoid taking the left fork to stay on track.

 

Means Of Transport

Use a 4×4 vehicle or one with high ground clearance, as the road is rough and can be slippery.
