Friday, 1st August – Arrival & Briefing
- 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Check-in at camp/accommodation
- 6:30 PM: Mandatory race briefing & gear check
- 8:00 PM: Carb-load dinner & bonfire
Saturday, 2nd August – Race Day
- 4:30 AM: Light breakfast opens
- 5:30 AM: Final check-in & warm-up

Directions
For those seeking to self-drive, you are advised that there will be a 20km stretch of rough road so be mindful of the type of car you use on the day. Good clearance is strongly recommended.
Lake road. Drive to the end of the tarmac road at the Kongoni Shopping center just after Oserian flower farms and Osengereni Conservancy. Turn left on to the dirt road and drive to Ngondi Shopping Centre. Be Sure to turn right at this fork for a better road (https://maps.app.goo.gl/rfTKdamjxhQk6aev9)
Drive to Ngondi center then take a left to Maiela Primary School.

What to carry
- Hydration pack (min 1.5L capacity)
- Trail running shoes with good grip
- Whistle
- Waterproof jacket
- Headlamp (with extra batteries for ultra)
- Fully charged phone (emergency numbers provided)
- Personal energy gels/snacks
- Emergency blanket (Ultra only)
- Reusable cup/bottle (no plastic cups at aid stations)
Route & Terrain
Expect steep ascents, rocky ridges, open meadows, and forest trails.
Elevation gain:
- 60KM: ~2800m
- 30KM: ~1400m
- 10KM: ~400m
The course is clearly marked, but you must remain alert at forks and checkpoints.
Safety & Terrain
Aid stations every 10-15KM with water, fruit, salts, and first aid.
Medical and mountain rescue on standby.
Sweepers will ensure no one is left behind.
You must report at all checkpoints.
Environmental Policy
This is a leave-no-trace event. Anyone found littering will be disqualified. Respect the mountain – it’s giving you this madness.
